The Property Race Day at Ascot. 9th July 2010:
The fourth Property Race Day will be taking place at Ascot on Friday 9th July 2010; guests will be located in the new Pavilion, the focal point of the major redevelopment programme at the racecourse.
Ascot Racecourse is ideally situated in beautiful wooded countryside adjoining Windsor Great Park and is extremely easy to get to; with two direct trains an hour from London Waterloo and regular trains from Reading and Guildford and the railway station is only seven minutes walk from the racecourse.
The Day's proceedings will open with a Champagne reception at 12 noon on the lawn outside the Ascot Pavilion while listening to music from a steel band. Previous racehorse trainer and Daily Telegraph columnist Charlie Brooks is our host and will take all sponsors and guests through the day's programme of events, including the six races on the card. It is anticipated that Frankie Dettori will provide his expert tips prior to the days racing.
A delicious three course lunch will be served at 12.45pm in The Pavilion at Ascot. Each table will be provided with a wine list prior to the event to make their selection and a set menu will be provided by the catering team at Ascot, Sodexo.
Throughout the afternoon, a silent auction will take place. Previous items in the auction lot have included a trip to Hong Kong and Shanghai, including flights and staying in the President's Suite at The Grand Hyatt Hotel, a charter day on the ICAP Leopard, one of the leading yachts in the South Coast as well as an original print by Ronnie Wood.
The last race will be at approximately 5:25pm after which guests can enjoy music from a live band, until around 7.30pm. Bars will remain open over this time.
